Wink

This ephemeral architecture is the common ground between architecture and art. This unique work, exhibited at the Kobe Biennial 2013 in Japan, has been designed to please the eye and meet easy-assembly requirements, zipping any of it's components to the next one making a perfect art piece that changes as you walk inside of it. The relationship between the structure itself and the visitors is quite close, since anyone can open or close any of its parts as if it was a window. The intention of this work is to show anyone how architecture can be also, lightweight and mobile.

Scarlet Ibis

The project is a sequence of digital paintings of the Scarlet Ibis and its natural environment, with special emphasis on color and their vibrant hue that intensifies as the bird grows. The work develops amongst natural surroundings combining real and imaginary elements that provide unique features. The scarlet ibis is a native bird of South America that lives on the coasts and marshes of northern Venezuela and the vibrant red color constitutes a visual spectacle for the viewer. This design aims to highlight the graceful flight of the scarlet ibis and the vibrant colors of the tropical fauna.

The Doubleface

The vibrant, unexpected and surreal nature of the Mexican character inspired the furniture collection “Los Enmascarados”, reflecting iconic Mexican masks. The Doubleface is one of the five pieces of the collection, his mask represents the battle between good and evil. The left side of the piece represents the good face, it seems normal, with its feet properly on the ground and its drawers facing the right way. The right side is the evil face, its feet are sticking dangerously up in the air and it has its unexpected evil drawer, you don’t really know what will happen when you open it.

The end is the beginning

Yuelin Hua,she comes from a myserious place with 25 ethnic minorities,dense virgin forest,rolling mountains,serene lake and Shangri-La. This place is very close to the sky. People walk in the clouds. She likes to stay in the mountains to see the bloom and wilt. This magical place inspired her to be more inventive with her design. She thanked the parenting of heaven and earth. This artwork also for thanks. Thank some people for sacrifice own lives to warm others and illuminate others. Although their lives have ended, but the noble and selfless spirit will be the beginning of positive energy.

Transform

“Transform” is a shape changing furniture that reacts to human presence and aims to inspire viewers through its unexpected transformations and aesthetics. It is a furniture that explores the juxtapositions of static and dynamic and soft and hard. Transform embodies a vision of of human interaction with dynamic, computationally reconfigurable and transformable shape-changing materials (Radical Atoms). Transform was first exhibited at Lexus Design Amazing 2014 Milan in April 2014.

P'iolin

P'iolin is a Stradivarius 1/2 violin which is made of French water color paper. Even both wood and paper are the materials used widely in our life, there are still a lot of different properties between them. Paper, as the recombination of wood, is the material used to record information and art. Actually, it was used to record music as the music score and to present the paints as water color paper. Therefore, P'iolin is a design try to make paper to combine these concepts; expressing music with the performance of paper.
